How can I tell which chis are compatible with a motherboard?

I am building a computer with an Intel DG43NB motherboard and, since I have never built a computer from scratch before, I don't know what chis will be compatible (in terms of hardware fit, temperature control etc) with this motherboard. I ume that most ATX chis will be compatible with any ATX motherboard, but I want to make sure before I go ahead and buy one. Also, where is a good place to buy a computer chis for a good price? I'm having trouble finding them. Thank you!
