How do I get my parents permission for a lip piercing?

I got my first piercing at 13, now five years later I have one tattoo so far and five piercings. You aren't too young and after all, a piercing can be removed. If I were talking to your parents I'd say to them that it's great that they are giving you permission for your belly on but what you really want is your lip. Even offer to pay for it if you can as long as they will approve of it. That will show them that you aren't just changing your mind but keeping their respects in mind to what you want and offering to find the middle ground. And if that doesn't work then put it off and ask again in a few months or wait until they cool off if they get mad at you. My one begging comment is to please do not have a friend do it if they say no. Home piercings and tattoos are scary, dangerous, and quite often suck and end up being fixed or redone professionally. Get it done by a pro no matter what you do. Good luck with the parents, they can be quite the sticklers!
