Is this a good start for a story? Should i continue?

This is Michael Guarneiri from TheFreshPen.com... Loved the beginning of the story. Clearly this has to continue. The descriptions are spot on and your ability to capture "the moment" is quite an et to your writing. Suggestions: try to focus on feelings and sensations a bit more. Put yourself in Maia's shoe (as I am sure you already have) and feel the splintered wood of the dock against her bare feet. Great start!
