Do Christians who don't accept Evolution actually do research on the subject?

I know there are Christians who accept Evolution, but I want to know if the ones who choose not to accept it have actually done research. If you have done research then why do you still deny it? Even with Creationism, Evolution would have to happen somewhere down the line...
