I feel bad for my indoor cats?

i have always had indoor/outdoor cats. i live on a quiet street but there are sometimes too fast drivers and yes coyotes. i let my babies out during the daytime. always checking for them and making certain they are in before dark. they are animals i figure and their nature is to hunt. so even though it is dangerous, i do let them out. yes i did lose one to a coyote 5 years ago but that was because he was lethargic due to just having been bitten by a rabid mouse, said the vet. so there is a risk. but i cannot keep them indoors all their lives. guess you have to weigh the risks for yourself.
